Healing Trauma

Experiencing trauma or abuse can leave deep emotional and psychological wounds that impact every aspect of your life. Trauma can affect your ability to trust others, feel safe in your own body, and maintain healthy relationships. It may show up as anxiety, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, or patterns of self-blame and shame.

Healing from trauma is a journey, and it doesn’t have to be one you take alone. In therapy, we create a safe space to process your experiences at your own pace, without pressure or judgment. We’ll use evidence-based techniques including EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help you regulate your nervous system, manage triggers, and work through painful memories in a way that promotes healing rather than re-traumatization.

The effects of trauma don’t define you. With the right support, you can rebuild a sense of safety, reclaim your personal power, and move forward with resilience. You are not broken, and you are not alone. Therapy can be a path toward healing and self-compassion, helping you move toward a future that feels lighter and more hopeful.
